Corky Carroll BMS 9'5" "Saladita Slider"
Corky's first Blue Mango Surfboard shape is a traditional 9'5" Single fin glider, the CC "Saladita Slider". Upon first glance, this board looks like an old school 1960s longboard shape. After all, it's a traditional low entry rocker with 50/50 rail design. Unlike the original 1960s models featuring double 10oz volan on the deck, Corky's model features double 8oz to significantly lighten it up on turns without losing that killer acceleration/glide feeling on take-off. To make it travel much easier, this model also features a fin box for a removable fin, instead of a glassed in fin. The end result is old school glide, but with far easier turning.
All of Corky's Blue Mango Surfboard models will be custom made-to-order. We can make any shape, any size, in any color. These boards are 100% hand shaped in the USA and available in your choice of poly or epoxy technologies. Corky is currently designing a 7'10" Hybrid Quad fun model which will be posted here soon. Epoxy hand shapes are $140 more than traditional polyurethane shapes. The Standard Blue Mango line will have Corky's logo on the deck with his Blue Mango logo on the bottom. Pricing is for clear.
